Key challenges:
KI Studio was involved in the masterplan revision and stage 1 landscape design documentation for an Aboriginal educational and research facility in Alice Springs. The project encompasses all exterior facilities of the 76 hectare site which included indigenous vegetation restoration, outdoor meeting and teaching places, application of sensitive water design principles including creation of “billabong” soakage areas and solar grid interaction scheme. Integration of Aboriginal art, their stories of the land, bush tucker garden and cultural landscape elements.
