Key challenges:
To create a memorable bridge that responds to the site constraints whilst providing simplicity of construction methodology. The bridge is composed out of a precast arch onto which precast tee beams rest. This provided a cost effective solution that is reponsive to the site constraints by utilising the basalt rock formations as a springing point for the arch.
