The KI team is growing.

In February we welcomed two new staff members to the KI Studio team.


Introducing – Graduate Landscape Architect, Valerie Ostermann

Valerie completed her Bachelor of Engineering (Landscape Architecture) in 2009, and obtained her Masters in Engineering (Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning) in 2015, studying at University of Applied Sciences in Osnabrueck, Germany.

Valerie’s wrote her master’s thesis based on Oxford Street, Sydney. Titled ‘Consuming the City – Shopping Streets and the Quality of Public Spaces for an urban society – Concept and Vision for Oxford Street in Sydney’ . The work investigated and identified the relationship between consumption and urban development.

She has a keen interest in sustainable landscape architecture and planning projects that work socially, financially and environmentally. Valerie also has a strong interest in physical and graphic representation of the built form through model making and freehand sketching.

Valerie’s experience in regional planning, public place and community planning is a great contribution to the teams’ expertise.
