The Good Design Awards Jury praised Yandhai Bridge-Nepean River commenting:
“The design of the bridge overcomes several important constraints and contributes admirably to the community cohesion as a significant enabler for increasing activity and connectivity.
The ability to manage pedestrian movement including rest and viewing points gives this bridge a specific social aspect that is refreshing.
It is good to see abridge design strongly driven by landscape and urban design components. An evocative engineering solution adds to the outcome, resulting in a bridge that offers a wonderful user experience. The bridge becomes a destination in itself as well as performing as part of a movement system.”
